Things I’m Loving Friday

Happy Friday! And happy spring break for those college folk out there! Even though Bryan and I are staying in Milwaukee for our break, we have a few fun plans that are making my lack of travel less depressing. Family, corned beef, and a date night or two are on the books for this week.

Today, I decided to compile a list of things that I’m absolutely loving this week. This is a pretty common type of post in the blog world, so I’m trying it on for size.

Whole Wheat Tortillas

I know. Real original.

Think about it! How sick of sandwiches are you? I’ve had a peanut butter and banana wrap for lunch twice this week. And a peanut butter, banana, and chocolate chip quesadilla for dinner one night (oops). The combination is irresistible!

Spring Sales

I’ve found some great deals online this week. $20 capris? $9 oxford shirts? Don’t mind if I do, Old Navy!

Clinique Chubby Stick

I got this lip color in a free gift sample bag from Clinique a while ago. Not only is the color gorgeous, but it actually moisturizes your lips! If you ask me, it’s time to chuck that burgundy lipstick out the window. I’m all about the peaches and pinks when the weather gets warmer. This chubby stick happens to be Mega Melon, and it’s a safe color for several different skin tones.

Above Freezing Temps

Last week, we actually made it above freezing for the first time in over a month. Today, it’s 45 degrees! I’m headed out for a long run and maybe even an iced coffee later.

Irish Soda Bread

Irish soda bread is a slightly sweet loaf with a tolerable amount of raisins and a moist texture. It’s one of those foods I forget about every year until March comes around again. Last Saturday, Bryan and I were browsing the specialty area of our local grocery store, which I fondly refer to as “the suck hole,” because everyone walks three times slower when a cheese sample is in sight. The bakery was offering samples of irish soda bread baked that morning, which happened to be .75 cents off. Bryan decided it was going to be his lunch. I had a little sliver of it, and now it is on my agenda to bake some. Today.

China Glaze

My friend and I were at Sally’s Beauty Supply earlier this week, and these were BOGO! I couldn’t stand how cute these colors were, so I caved. Painting my nails is also on the agenda today.

Well, I could go on and on about the things I’m loving this week, but I think it’s time to start enjoying my Friday. 🙂 Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you do!
